Founder & Director

Hi I'm Katie and I train, support and build capability in people who want to use social media to grow their business. I've trained teams and small-medium businesses across the globe, working collaboratively, to unlock ideas, potential and success.

I am an accredited Facebook and Instagram trainer in my role as a She Means Business ambassador. So, if you're looking to raise your game on these channels, either for yourself or your business, I can help.

Sharing best practice and amplifying the work of other businesses' is important to me and I channel this via my business column for South East Business and as a regular contributor to Kent Business.

People come to me when they're struggling to engage their audience and feel frustrated that their efforts aren't gaining the results they need to grow their business.

I've trained teams and held cross-departmental workshops, with the goal of discussing strategy and tactics, that support both internal and external comms.

When working with small-medium business owners, we work as a team to unlock ideas and smash targets.

Whatever your need, we have a solution - take a look around see what floats your boat.

I'm a former journalist and public relations specialist with more than 15 years experience in digital. I have trained, worked with and designed with brands across the globe. I love to get under the skin of the business and truly appreciate the direction they want to take their dream.

My personal approach and down to earth style of getting stuff done, means you will gain the skills and confidence to tackle social media head-on.

I'm pretty passionate about supporting the next generation, so I started a charity to do that. The Six Initiative, is a not-for-profit initiative that champions young female entrepreneurs from disadvantaged communities - we're in the final stages of bringing this to life and I cannot wait to share something that will have a positive impact on so many young people.

I am also business mentor to young entrepreneurs and my pro-bono commitments include advising non-profits on their social, PR and brand strategies.

My writing contributions include Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Marketing NZ, Idealog, Kent Messenger and many more and I have worked for brands including Xero, Kiwibank, Ann Summers, NSPCC, PhotoBox and Weber Shandwick. See more experience here.

I LOVE speaking at conferences or providing commentary - if that's what you need, drop me a line at katie@deptofsharing.com
